I read you post regading interferon and I wanted to let you know that I benefitted from my IF treatment. I was desperately ill before I started injecting it (which I hated - having never used needles before) -could hardly make it to work every day. After 2 years of interferon I 've tested negative for 4 years now.

The only problem, besides that total exhaustion during the treatment, was that I lost my thyroid gland. I don't have the energy I did before I started getting symptoms and I still get sick if I don't get enough sleep or work too hard. But as long as those results keep coming back negative, I'm really pleased.

I know they can't say that I'm cured, because there is no cure.. and I've herd that people re-test positive again after a number of years and that chirrosis can still continue even with negative results - but a 4 year remission is a huge bonus for me because I thought my whole life was over.
