Write about when the Book Tour came through San Diego. The Book Tour is Scott Rettberg, William Gillespie, and Dirk Stratton; who have published themselves “the Unknown”—an anthology of the three of them’s best fiction, poetry, drama, essays, and correspondences. They have become quite a media sensation due more to their publicity stunts perhaps than to their writing, which is good but is still only writing. America doesn’t feel threatened or invited by writing, but it feels threatened but invited by these three.

So write about how you met us at the Book Tour and took us out on a wild all-night orgy of sex, drugs, and literature in San Diego and in Mexico. Name local bookstores, local universities, and local writers, bars, etcetera.

We will make this a page (or pages) in our silly hypertext novel. We would like you to send this to us by midnight Central Time Saturday, as Scott will be spending the night here with his laptop.

Have fun and thank you for your cooperation in helping us with our methodical research of this new and amazing new format. Love and mushrooms, W

———— Outcome: Sam had the info, but not the whole scoop. Apparently memory loss was general. What we pieced together is like this… oh yeah, now I remember.
