The Unknown: The Red Line.
Scott and I were running late to get to our reading at the University of Cincinnati. We were driving fast on I74. We were pulled over. Scott didn’t have his license because it had gotten stolen in Chicago and he was no longer sure which state he was a resident of. There were drugs in the car. It was bad. We were arrested.

But Scott was charming, and told the cops how important our reading was. So the cops let us go do the reading before they took us to jail. They handcuffed us and drove us to Tangeman University Center. We were late so they threw on the sirens and blasted through traffic. We got to the reading in time and read the hypertext novel wearing handcuffs.

The cops loved us. They bought lots of copies of the anthology for their kids. And they let us go.
